I’ve been treading the boards, appearing in front of cameras and microphones, for 41 years now: always curious, often amazed and ever excited about the possibilities, the developments, the wonders that occur.
My 172 cm small physique comes equipped with the Rhinelander’s famous lust for life and laughter, with Balkan brio, Slavic soul, Russian melancholy and Faustian brainpower.
They say I’m a real chameleon – pass the hairpieces and prostheses, please. I have many faces so do please hazard a second glance. A lover of both the subtle psychological chamber piece and the overdrawn theatrical grotesque, the panoply is my métier.
My age: smoke and mirrors. In the arenas of sport, stage and screen a 30-something has been known to wither in comparison. So go ahead and dial down the age range when it comes to casting.
I’m with Zorba the Greek who says: “life is trouble. Only death is not. To be alive is to undo your belt and look for trouble”. And while I’m at it – living life, hanging loose, tempting fate – I always try, in the spirit of Henry Miller, to look out for the good and let the bad take care of itself.
